Abernathy Line

PART ONE: ORIGINS  The Abernathy, Abernethy, Abenethy, Abernethie, Abernithe family has lived since the 1600s, or earlier, in or near the town of Abernethy in the Scottish region called Perthshire. They were governed for centuries according to laws and customs that had changed little since the Middle Ages. By farm, craft work and physical labour at home and for others they managed to survive, pledge allegiances to Kings and other rulers, and to fight wars in the Isles for God and Country from generation to generation.
